India opener KL Rahul left the field after being struck on the elbow by fast-bowling teammate Prasidh Krishna in an intra-squad match in Perth on Friday, while Virat Kohli emerged to bat despite injury concerns ahead of the test series against Australia.

Virat Kohli took the field on Friday for a match simulation ahead of the 1st Test against Australia at the Optus Stadium.

Ahead of the Perth Test, KL Rahul suffered a major blow in practice. Earlier, reports suggested that Virat Kohli also underwent some scans.

KL Rahul left the field after being struck on the elbow in an injury concern for India ahead of the first Test, while Virat Kohli shrugged off speculation over his fitness but was one of several batters caught behind the wicket in an intra-squad match simulation at the WACA.

As per a report in ESPNcricinfo, KL Rahul looked in fluent touch and he was tackling short bowling really well, until he was struck on his right elbow by a rising delivery from pacer Prasidh Krishna.
