Liverpool are closing in on an agreement to sign Wirtz this summer having had an opening offer rejected for the Bayer Leverkusen star, who is widely considered to be one of the best young talents in European football.

Liverpool hope to soon reach a full agreement for Florian Wirtz, and while Harvey Elliott is no longer a swap option, Leverkusen are keen on another star.
