The Dallas Mavericks tipped off a five-game road trip with a 137-136 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, avenging their loss in this building a few weeks ago. During this time, Pelicans guard C.J. McCollum took advantage of a missed floater by Irving and led a transition opportunity to find Trey Murphy III for a windmill alley-oop. Less than 10 seconds later, McCollum remixed the play and threw another lob to Murphy to give the Pelicans a six-point lead going into the half.

Daniel Gafford was perfect, scoring 22 points with 12 rebounds and 4 blocks in the Mavericks’ down-to-the-wire win over the Pelicans.
