The NBA has postponed Thursday's game between the Hornets and Lakers in Los Angeles because of the ongoing wildfires in the metropolitan area.

The Hornets-Lakers game was postponed because of the wildfires in the L.A. area that have claimed over 5,000 structures, including the home of Lakers coach JJ Redick.

"Obviously the game is secondary to that and to many things in life. Perspective is important," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of the fires.
