CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns let Mike Vrabel out of his consulting agreement early on Monday so he could get a jump on the 2025 head coaching cycle, and five days later, he’s interviewing for the Jets’ vacancy today.

The New England Patriots plan to interview Mike Vrabel for their vacant head coach position on Thursday, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. Vrabel was most recently a coaching and personnel consultant for the Cleveland Browns this past season. He was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans from 2018-2023.

On Friday, the New York Jets interviewed former Cleveland Browns’ coaching and personnel consultant Mike Vrabel for their head coaching position, as announced by the Jets. Vrabel, age 49, was hired by the Browns this past spring following a 6-10-0 season with the Tennessee Titans who fired him.
