Easterling projected that the Lions will pick Scourton with the 28th pick in this year’s draft. The pick would pair Scourton with 2023 Pro Bowler and former No. 2 pick Aidan Hutchinson. Hutchinson missed the final 12 games of 2024 due to a broken leg, but is expected to be ready for the start of the 2025 season.

Green, who led the FBS in sacks with 17 last season, could be an ideal pass rush partner for Aidan Hutchinson on Detroit's defensive line. The Lions appear to be doing their due dilligence, as they formally met with Green at the NFL Combine.
