AUSTIN, Texas — The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) issued a Weather Watch from Jan. 6 through Jan. 10 as Arctic air brings frigid temps to much of the state.

With nightly temperatures expected to be below freezing starting Sunday evening with slight chances for precipitation, many will be seeking a shelter to stay warm. Here is where to find shelters that will be open during the upcoming week: Dallas All Dallas public libraries and recreation centers will be open during posted business hours.

First Alert Weather Days are in effect from Sunday through Friday, with extreme cold expected throughout the week.
