Anti-Israel activist Mahmoud Khalil was honored at a protest outside Columbia University just days after being released from an immigration detention center.

Mahmoud Khalil vowed to resume his pro-Palestinian activism as he returned to New York a day after he was released on bail from a jail for immigrants, even as U.S. President Donald Trump's administration said it will continue its efforts to deport the recent Columbia University graduate.

Former Columbia University student Mahmoud Khalil has returned to the US Northeast after 104 days in custody for protesting against Israel and the war in Gaza.
