As of Monday, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in the state was $3.06 a gallon, down from $3.21 a week ago.

Florida’s most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach ($3.20), Naples ($3.20) and Lakeland-Winter Haven ($3.15). The cheapest metro markets are Panama City ($2.87), Pensacola ($2.92) and Punta Gorda ($2.97).

Jenkins said as of Sunday, 2025′s “pinball” prices at the pump had ranged from $3.06 to $3.23 per gallon in Florida. But on Monday, AAA data showed that the state average dropped to $3.05 per gallon. The average per gallon in Central Florida counties ranged from $2.90 in Flagler to $3.13 in Polk.

Gas prices have plunged an average of 15 cents in Florida and 17 cents in the Miami area since last week. In the Miami area, prices are nearly 11 cents a gallon lower than a month ago and 26 cents lower than a year ago.

MIAMI - After remaining in a certain range for months, Florida gas prices have ticked up. Since early September, the state's average has mostly hovered between $2.99 and $3.15 a gallon.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Floridians are seeing a welcome change at the pump as gas prices fell by 15 cents last week. The American Automobile Association (AAA) stated that the average price for a gallon of gas decreased from $3.22 to $3.07 by Sunday.

Gas prices in Florida are on something of a rollercoaster. But the news is good this week, with prices down 15 cents per gallon over last week, according to AAA — The Auto Club Group. Pump prices fell from $3.22 per gallon last week to $3.07 per gallon Sunday, following a downward slide in crude oil prices after winter storms receded.

The average fuel price in state has risen about 14 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state in the last year have been as low as $2.93 on Jan. 22, 2024, and as high as $3.54 on May 6, 2024. A year ago, the average gas price in Florida was 4% lower at $3.03 per gallon.
