The Philadelphia Eagles ' defense had a somewhat slow start to their second preseason game of the summer, as the Cleveland Browns took a 6-0 lead after a long opening drive. The Eagles failed to answer on offense, but one of their promising rookies made a huge splash play.

In addition to his Pick-6, Eagles rookie Drew Mukuba also recovered a fumble at the Browns' 31 with 6:11 left in the second quarter. Pierre Strong carried the ball up the middle for Cleveland and was stripped as he crossed the line of scrimmage.

Gabriel will play with mostly backups while most of the Browns starters will rest for the second preseason game. Sanders, who strained his left oblique muscle (side of the abdomen) early on in Wednesday’s joint practice, will be in uniform today, but won’t play.
