Diddy’s ex-assistant, David James, testified in the former’s trial, detailing incidents involving drugs, surveillance, and Cassie Ventura. He described Combs' controlling behavior and how the latter tried to intimidate him by using lie detector tests.

On May 20, 2025, the seventh day of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex trafficking trial, his former personal assistant named David James returned to the stand to resume his testimony.

David James, one of Combs' former assistants, was the last to take the stand. He testified security staffers would often tell him to stay in his lane and that “This is Mr. Combs’ kingdom.
