Celtic will complete the league phase of their UEFA Champions League campaign tonight (Wednesday) when they take on Aston Villa in Birmingham. The Hoops have already qualified for the knockout

Celtic face Aston Villa in Birmingham this afternoon as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to close out the new-look league phase with a result against Unai Emery’s side. However, Celtic go into the game with a number of absences from last weekend.

Celtic have only won one of their last 21 away games in the Champions League (D5 L15), and are winless in 11 since beating Anderlecht in September 2017 (3-0). They have avoided defeat in the most recent two, though, drawing 0-0 against both Atalanta and Dinamo Zagreb.

Unai Emery's side have the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League top eight when they host Celtic on Wednesday night.
