Ukraine has imposed sanctions on more than 50 Russian captains and one Iranian captain said to be involved in Russia's so-called "shadow fleet" used to circumvent Western sanctions, as per a decree signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the National Security and Defence Council's sanctions from 5 February against 57 captains of Russia's shadow fleet and 55 individuals involved in the looting of Ukrainian cultural heritage.
