vDos is a DOS emulator designed to run old DOS programs on modern Windows operating systems, particularly useful for 64-bit versions where the built-in NTVDM (NT Virtual DOS Machine) is not available.
You can try hitting Alt-Enter when in the program. That switches between full screen and window. I don't know if that will help Windows remember your settings, but its worth a shot.
