Presidents Day is a federal holiday celebrated each year in mid-February to honor past U.S. presidents. Locally, it's part of the next big break week - known as Presidents Day break week in some districts, midwinter recess in others or simply as February break week among most students and teachers.

Presidents Day, officially known as Washington’s Birthday, is observed each year on the third Monday of February. This year, the holiday falls on Monday, Feb. 17. Here is a look at what’s open and closed in the Lehigh Valley.
