The Houston Astros will make an early-season appearance on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, the network announced Wednesday in unveiling its initial matchups for 2025. ESPN will broadcast Houston’s April 20 game against the San Diego Padres at newly renamed Daikin Park. The game is set for a 6 p.m. CT start.

The Rangers will play at the San Diego Padres on July 6 as part of an ESPN Sunday Night Baseball Fourth of July weekend doubleheader, the network announced Wednesday. Texas and San Diego are scheduled to play at 8:10 p.m.; the first leg of that day’s doubleheader is still to be determined.

The Red Sox will host the St. Louis Cardinals on April 6 at 7 p.m. in their first Sunday home game of the 2025 season. It’s the second game in ESPN’s slate of Sunday Night Baseball, with the Atlanta Braves taking on the San Diego Padres on March 30 on opening weekend.
