Grimace. The famous McDonald’s advertising mascot has won the hearts of Mets fans since he threw out the first pitch at a June game and the team’s early season bad fortune quickly turned around.

The Mets and the Yankees may be crosstown rivals — but I was able to transcend the bad blood by dressing up as none other than Grimace in enemy territory. Well, for the most part, that is.
