Ryan Garcia captured his first major world title by winning the WBC welterweight championship with a unanimous decision victory over Mario Barrios on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Ryan Garcia secured his first major title with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Mario Barrios to become the new WBC welterweight champion.

Since being elevated from interim to full world champion by the WBC, Barrios has twice defended his belt, going to draws against Abel Ramos and Manny Pacquiao.
