Tributes to 'kind quick-witted' Corby EMR train driver who died in Bedford rail crash
Tributes have been paid to the driver of a Corby East Midlands Railway train, who died on Friday (June 19) when two trains collided near Bedford.
Trains from Leicester to London St Pancras are set to be delayed "until the end of today" (Friday, June 19). East Midlands Railway announced the train line between Leicester and London St Pancras has been closed, and is likely to remain shut until the end of the day.
An EMR driver was killed, and multiple passengers were injured in the collision, which took place near Bedford. The line remains closed between Bedford and Luton, with disruption expected until at least Friday, June 28.
