Williams Farms Repack issued a recall for the tomatoes, the FDA announced last month. It's now labeled deadly.

The US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) has recalled tomatoes marketed by Williams Farms Repack LLC in Georgia, North Carolina & South Carolina. The tomatoes are not suitable for use due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Before you throw some tomatoes on your sandwich this week, think again. On June 1, The New York Times reported that the FDA escalated a tomato recall to a high warning due to a threat of severe illness and even death.
