Smurfs,' out July 18, stars Rihanna as Smurfette, plus Kurt Russell, John Goodman, Octavia Spencer, Daniel Levy, James Corden, Sandra Oh and Billie Lourd.

This version is ostensibly a reboot, but if you were tuning into the previous big-screen Smurfs this one will feel pretty familiar (even beyond being based on a decades-old cartoon). Like 2011’s The Smurfs,

This new musical version of “Smurfs” follows the Sony Pictures film franchise adaptation of the iconic property. Those live-action/CG hybrid films starred Neil Patrick Harris and Katy Perry. The tiny blue characters originate from the world of Belgian artist Peyo’s comic books.
