Great British Bake Off favourite Prue Leith has stepped back from the Channel 4's spin-off show as the star-studded guests are finally announced.

The Great British Bake Off judge explained: “I think old age stinks... It takes me 10 minutes to get myself out of the bed in the morning and if I don’t do the exercises, I can’t move! There's all sorts of things that are wrong with old age. You know, you are very conscious that this is nearly the end.”

Dame Prue Leith ’s longtime friend will take over as a co-judge in the Celebrity Bake Off special, Channel 4 has announced. The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer is returning this spring with many familiar faces – Alison Hammond, Noel Fielding and Paul Hollywood – and a surprise one-off replacement for Prue, 84.

Prue Leith has spoken out about the difficulties of getting older as she revealed her mobility is a challenge. The Great British Bake Off star, who is approaching 85, appeared on Loose Women on Tuesday to speak about aging in a special version of the ITV show featuring panellists all over the age of 70.

Channel 4 has shared first-look images at this year's The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, confirming who will replace Prue Leith on the judging panel. Last March, the judge announced that she would step down from the show's celebrity edition but would continue to appear on The Great British Bake Off.
