In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision, Judge Xinis ordered the federal government to provide an update on Abrego Garcia’s whereabouts and the steps the administration has taken and will take to facilitate his return to the U.S. But the Friday 9:30 a.m. deadline came and went with no movement from the government.

The U.S. Supreme Court Thursday ordered the Trump administration to "facilitate" the return of Maryland man Kilmar Abrego Garcia who it said was illegally removed from the United States.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s story appeared as if it would begin and end in his native El Salvador. His attorneys say he fled the country at 16 because a local gang threated to kill him.
