Alaska Airlines announces its inaugural nonstop flight to Europe, connecting Seattle to Rome starting May 2026, marking a significant milestone in the airline's international expansion.

Alaska Airlines on Tuesday announced it was adding nonstop flights between Seattle and Rome next year, its first transatlantic route. The Italian capital was not previously served by an airport in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. It’s the third long-haul destination Alaska has added at its Seattle-Tacoma International Airport hub after Tokyo and Seoul.
