The Royal Rumble, one of its biggest annual events, will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in January 2026. This marks the first time the Royal Rumble will take place outside of North America, and only the second time in its history it has been held outside the United States (the inaugural event took place in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1988).

Just hours before its big debut on Netflix, WWE announced the 2026 Royal Rumble is set to be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will be the first time the event has been hosted outside of North America.

Since then, Saudi Arabia has hosted several major WWE events, including Crown Jewel, Elimination Chamber, King & Queen of the Ring, Night of Champions, and even episodes of SmackDown and Monday Night Raw.
