Last year, Pharrell Williams’ music festival Something In The Water faced several hurdles. After being forced to cancel the 2024 installment due to weather conditions, the team weren’t able to lock in a new date. Ultimately, Something In The Water 2024 was canceled but promised to return in 202 5.

Something in the Water Festival has reportedly been terminated in Virginia Beach—his hometown and where the festival first kicked off. According to Virginia Beach officials, the sandy event will no longer take place in the city due to Williams and his team not meeting the “cure notice requirements” within a five-day deadline to secure the festival.

Virginia Beach is moving on from hosting the festival after organizers failed to announce a lineup and commence ticket sales by the Monday deadline set by city leaders.
