A video of a paraglider crashing seconds after it took flight with a tourist from Gujarat and the paraglider pilot in Himachal Pradesh earlier this week surfaced on Wednesday.
A paraglider was seriously injured on Tuesday afternoon after he crashed into the mountain above Makapuʻu Beach.
The incident, which occurred on July 8, according to USA Today, was caught on camera by an onlooker, Dusty Howlett. The viral video shows the powered parachute striking overhead wires, triggering sparks. Soon after the strike, the glider and pilot plummet into the North Dakota river.
It was reported that a man in his 20s was paragliding in the area and crashed into the mountain above Makapuu Beach.
The Honolulu Fire Department rescued a paraglider from the Makapuu area in Hawaii Kai Tuesday afternoon. His condition remains currently unknown. At around 2:05 p.m. HFD said it received a 911 call that a man in his 20s was paragliding in the area and crashed into the mountain above Makapuu Beach.
