W hen Olivia Munn was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, she struggled even to tell her family. Her now husband, comedian John Mulaney, had to break the news to her relatives because “the words got stuck in my throat,” the actor says.

“John has been a huge pillar of strength for Olivia throughout her health scare,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2024, noting that the couple’s son, Malcolm, also gave Munn the “courage and strength to keep fighting and overcome this.”

Munn, who was named one of Time’s Women of the Year, opened up about her cancer journey in an interview published today. After receiving a clear mammogram, Munn’s OB-GYN suggested she use the Tyrer-Cuzick Risk Assessment Calculator that gave Munn a 37% chance of developing breast cancer.
