Gail Maddox woke up this morning with the most horrific memories any mother could ever have. At that moment, one year ago, her 20-year-old daughter, Mahogany Jackson, was being held captive and tortured sexually and physically throughout the course of the day-long ordeal before being fatally shot.

Mahogany Jackson’s mother spent the difficult anniversary celebrating the life her daughter lived. February 25, 2024 was the last time Gail Maddox heard from her daughter over text, saying she was being held hostage. Police later found the 20-year-old shot to death at a dumping site.
