Logan Thompson's goaltending in the third period is the biggest reason the Washington Capitals took a 2-0 series lead on the Montreal Canadiens.

The Capitals again managed to outlast a late push by the Canadiens thanks to what Ryan Leonard called "extraordinary" saves in net.
