CUB RUN, Ky. (WZTV) — Kentucky State Police (KSP) confirmed a missing 5-year-old boy was found dead. Officers confirmed the tragic discovery of Silas Chearer, the subject of an Immediate Alert Notification (IAN Alert) after he went missing from his home in Hart County.
IAN Alerts are used when children under the age of 18 with autism or mental illness go missing and may be in danger.
JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) - The Jackson Police Department is on the scene of a deadly crash on KY-15. The section of highway between the Jiffy Mart and Walmart is closed for an undetermined amount of time. Police officials tell WYMT that at least one person is dead and others were airlifted to the hospital by a medical helicopter.
