INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts will honor the late Jim Irsay by adding his name to the Ring of Honor at Lucas Oil Stadium during their home opener against the Miami Dolphins on September 7. Irsay, who owned and led the Colts for decades, died on May 21 and was laid to rest on June 2. The team announced today, which would have been his 66th birthday.

The three daughters of former Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay—Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson—spoke Tuesday about assuming ownership of the organization after their father's death in late May.

Jim Irsay did everything possible to prepare his three daughters for taking over his beloved Indianapolis Colts.
