Indonesian officials said it took rescuers at least five hours to retrieve Juliana Marins, the Brazilian tourist who fell down a ravine at Mount Rinjani on Lombok island.

Brazil's government says that a young Brazilian hiker who had plunged hundreds of meters from the ridge of a towering Indonesian volcano and was trapped there for almost four days has been found dead.

Juliana Marins, 27, was hiking with five friends on Mount Rinjani on Saturday when she slipped and fell off a cliff on the side of the 3,726-metre (12,224 feet) mountain.
