Shanetta Bossell, 38, who is charged in the stabbing death of Kansas City Fire Medic Graham Hoffman, was in jail last week for allegedly biting a police officer.

A Missouri paramedic was killed Sunday when he was stabbed in the chest by a patient in his ambulance. Graham Hoffman, 29, transporting a patient following a routine medical call from police when he was attacked, Kansas City officials said. Numerous callers reported a woman walking along the shoulder of a highway around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Early Sunday morning, firefighter Graham Hoffman, 29, was in the back of an ambulance transporting a patient to the hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, when he was stabbed in the chest, piercing his heart, according to a press release published on the city's website.
