There is no shortage of questions surrounding the “suspicious” deaths of Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, at their New Mexico home, from how long their bodies were there before being discovered to concern over the couple’s dogs.

The intense character actor who won two Oscars in a more than 60-year career, died of unknown causes at home, along with his wife Betsy Arakawa as well as one of their dogs.

Gene Hackman, a two-time Oscar winner, was found dead along with his wife and dog in their New Mexico home Wednesday. The cause of death hasn’t been revealed. A 911 caller, per CNN, said they could see two unconscious people through the window.
