Major indexes were slightly lower Thursday morning after a couple of lackluster days for the U.S. stock market that followed a big post-election rally, as investors await comments this afternoon from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.

There are a few earnings-related movers including Continental and Croda International but the advance is broad based with nearly every sector higher. U.S. stock futures gained ground on Monday, continuing a post-election rally. * Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 89 points, or 0.2%, to 44230.

U.S. stocks are edging lower Thursday as the market’s big burst following Donald Trump’s election continues to cool. The S&P 500 was down 0.3% in afternoon trading, though still near its all-time high set on Monday.
