Pregnant California teacher plunges 164 feet to her death after horror fall in Greece - Clara Thomann, 33 slipped and fell hiking near the Preveli Monastery in Crete while on holiday with her partner

Thomann, who was six months pregnant, was pronounced dead just before the New Year after suffering multiple fractures to her chest and skull that rendered her brain dead.

Rescue efforts involved 21 firefighters and emergency responders working tirelessly to reach her in what was described as a highly inaccessible location.
