FBI investigation of a Virginia man led to what the agency calls its largest-ever seizure by number of finished explosive devices.

Brad Spafford, 36, from Isle of Wight County, Virginia, has been apprehended and charged with having the largest stockpile of homemade explosives ever found by the FBI. A federal judge approved his bond at a hearing on 30 December but suspended the order while awaiting a government appeal.

A man was found with possibly the largest supply of "finished explosive devices" ever seized in the history of the FBI, officials said.
