Warren Buffett created Berkshire Hathaway Inc.’s Class B shares almost 30 years ago to stymie money managers who sought to split the high-priced conglomerate’s stock.

Warren Buffett has raised over $158 billion in cash/cash equivalents this year and has continued to sell stocks in Q4. Recent filings show that Berkshire sold another $36 billion in stocks in Q3 and plowed operating earnings into short-term Treasuries as well.
