In Sunday's series opener, Senators forward Ridly Greig delivered a controversial hit that struck Maple Leafs forward John Tavares in the neck area as the Leafs forward finished a check. Later in the third period, Greig also collided with Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz.

Greig's playoff debut comes a year after an empty-net goal against Toronto sparked a cross-check from Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly, in what is the first chapter of his contentious history with the Leafs. Toronto players and staff responded calmly to the ongoing clash between Greig and the Maple Leafs nation as the series shifts to Ottawa.

Traffic in front of the net is primed to be part of the Ottawa Senators’ strategy, and Toronto netminder says it’s his responsibility to take care of it.
