U.S. President Donald Trump is intensifying his push on tariffs following a recent federal court ruling, raising pressure on Korea’s incoming administration ahead of soon-to-begin full-scale trade negotiations with Washington.

US states and small businesses that won a ruling that most of President Donald Trump’s global tariffs are illegal want them blocked during the administration’s appeal, saying they’re suffering immediate harm from economic uncertainty around the levies.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Sunday that “tariffs are not going away” after a US appeals court paused a block on many of the Trump administration’s sweeping tariffs.
