The music publishing company for renowned Detroit rapper Eminem is suing Meta, alleging the social media giant made its songs available to users without permission.

Eight Mile Style, the publishing company overseeing Eminem’s early music catalog, has filed a $109 million lawsuit against Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, for alleged copyright infringement.

The lawsuit accuses the social media giant of profiting from Eminem's music without obtaining the proper license.
