A California professor has been arrested for allegedly throwing a tear gas canister at ICE agents during a massive raid at cannabis farm last week where agitators also hurled rocks at law enforcement vehicles.

Federal authorities now say they arrested more than 360 people at two Southern California marijuana farms last week, characterizing the raids as one of the largest operations since President Donald Trump took office in January.

“While (Homeland Security Investigations) respects the public’s right to peacefully express disagreement with immigration enforcement, physical assaults on federal officers and interference with lawful operations will not be tolerated,” ICE said a day after the arrests.

According to multiple reports, Jaime Alanis climbed to the roof of a greenhouse in alleged attempt to evade officers.

Community organizers across Los Angeles remain active in their fight to protect undocumented community members.

Garcia, an Anaheim resident and car wash worker was detained on July 3 during an immigration raid at his workplace. His family is fighting to free him from custody.
